Application for Admission

A brochure describing our program can be downloaded or viewed in pdf format. Application forms and detailed information concerning admission may be obtained by writing to the Department of Psychology, or by visiting the Graduate Admissions Office's website. The completed application requires the submission of transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate institutions previously attended, official reports of grades obtained on the Graduate Record Examination, at least three letters of recommendation, and a personal statement. All application material must be received by December 15th. Applicants bear the responsibility for insuring that these materials are received, and may communicate directly with the Psychology Department (860-486-2057) to determine whether or not the application has been completed. Specific inquiry about the I/O program and visits to the campus are welcomed; they should be made to the Coordinator of I/O Graduate Admissions, Dr. Vicki Magley (860-486-9019, or by email). Driving directions to the University of Connecticut and an interactive map of the Storrs campus are available online. You can also download and print a campus map.

A profile of the characteristics of successful applicants to our program, as well as other information about admission requirements and program features/requirements can be seen in the Directory of Graduate Programs published on-line by the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology.
